This exceptional exhibition was imagined like a game of mirrors and correspondences between Asian-inspired creations from the Cartier Collection and pieces from the collections of the Baur Foundation. The catalogue reflects this unprecedented approach imagined by Estelle Niklès van Osselt, curator of the exhibition and sinologist, and allows us to decipher Cartier designs in the light of traditional Asian symbols, motifs, and materials.
